Neverwinter Beta Ends With A Major Invasion Event

The beta of Neverwinter is coming to a close within three days, and it’s ending with a major, three-part event that will see players earning tons of rewards, including a unique companion, for their participation.

Starting today, the event will see players earning twice the amount of runestones and enchantments during gameplay. It’s a sort of double-XP bonus, as it were.

On June 18, the invasion will begin, with enemies attacking five locations in the Protector’s Enclave throughout the day. Following that, more dangerous foes will arrive including Unhallowed Wights. These invasions will occur every five minutes, so players will be encouraged to participate by killing these foes and defending the Protector’s Enclave. Players can earn bags of bones by killing these monsters, which can be turned in at an NPC and redeemed for rewards.

Perfect World says that players will be able to earn unique enchantments and a unique companion throughout the event. The event ends when the game launches on June 20.

To celebrate the game’s launch, Cryptic has released a new “What is Neverwinter” trailer. Check that out below.
