New 3DMark Benchmarking Tool Hits #3 Best-Selling on Steam (VID)

Futuremark has released a new version of its flagship benchmarking program 3DMark, which comes complete with a DirectX 11 benchmark test for high-performance gaming PCs titled Fire Strike.

This new version is the most powerful and flexible 3DMark Futuremark has ever created and includes three new tests with which you can benchmark everything from tablets and notebooks to the latest high-end gaming desktops.

Check it out, and keep an eye out for the final benchmark:

Holy hell. Those particle effects on that last Fire Strike benchmark make me drool.

You can buy 3DMark from Steam for $25, presently on discount for $18.74, where it is currently #3 in the top sellers list.

by no means beats the amazing benchmark video by plastige (the guys who made the witcher 2 / cp77 trailers among many other things) … not sure about the catzilla benchmark itself (still beta), but the plastige work is amazing!
