New Armor Added to GameStop Halo: Reach Preorder

Preorder Halo: Reach at GameStop, get more grenade-launcher shells, apparently?

Halo: Reach drops on Sept. 14, and players who want their multiplayer characters to look slightly different than the other hordes of Halo fanatics have an answer: downloadable armor from GameStop.

A preordered copy of the new Halo prequel will include a downloadable content code for the UA-Multithreat MJOLNIR Mark V(B) Armor. It’s shown highlighted in the picture to the right: a different chest plate and an ammo belt.

GameStop’s press release doesn’t say anything about actual combat bonuses for customers downloading the armor, but if past preorder bonuses are any indication, the change is purely cosmetic.

So if an awkward-looking belt is enough to sway a purchasing decision, GameStop is for you.

Reach still doesn’t work with Kinect, though, no matter how spiffy you look as a sniper blows your face off.
