Coming to the PS2 and the Wii on April 9th is Baroque. In this unique RPG, if your character dies, it only furthers the stroyline. I don’t know what happens if you don’t die, but maybe that is all part of the plot twist. Anyway, the new screens that Atlus USA sent us today are gotherific, so depressed emo middle school kids should love this game – maybe even some old school Cure fans can get something out of it as well.
Storyline: You awaken to find the world in ruin, your heart beset with unexplained guilt. A cataclysm has destroyed the cities and empires of men and disfigured the spirit of humanity. In this nightmare, it falls to you to descend a mysterious tower in search of absolution. Battle merciless foes through treacherous dungeons, scour for new items to aid you in your travels, and unlock the secrets of a devastated land. You will find death in the depths, yet learn that death is not the end of the story; in the twisted world of Baroque.

Sounds like it has alot of original elements, but I doubt I’d ever play it. It seems like one of those games you look at and say “hmm, that’s cool… meh”.
