New Borderlands DLC is Now Official
Looks like we can finally call the rumor of new Borderlands DLC (which was pretty much confirmed already) officially confirmed.
Scheduled to release in September, the new DLC is titled Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution. It drops you smack into the middle of a deadly civil war between the Hyperion Corporation’s well-armed armadas and the swelling army of homicidal Claptraps led by one of “one of the most eagerly awaited characters in the franchise’s history – the cunning Ninja Assassin.”
The DLC will push you through through 20 new missions, new enemies, new boss battles, and even enemies that have been “Claptrap-ified,” such as crab-traps, rakk-traps and skag-trapps. You can also get an additional 10 skill points and three more backpack slots.
In discussing the new DLC, 2K president Christoph Hartmann said,
“A year ago Borderlands was an untested brand that through hard work and a lot of passion, turned out to be one of the best-selling, claptastic and skagtacular games we have ever created.
A year later, we are releasing our fourth DLC installment, Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution, which illustrates our enthusiasm for creating highly entertaining content that enhances a franchise.
In addition to serving as the perfect bookend to the original game, what gamer doesn’t love a kung-fu-wielding Ninja Assassin Claptrap with nunchuck skills?”
Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution is due out in September, and will run you 800 Microsoft Points on XBox Live, and $9.99 on PSN and PC.
