New Destiny Video Explains Weapons, Modes, Characters and More

Bungie has a new video documentary, or what it calls a “ViDoc”, up of Destiny. The video, which showcases some of the game’s intricacies, delves into the game’s character classes, weapon systems, loot, environments, and matchmaking system.

On display are the game’s three character classes and the variety of outfits and weapons which they’ll be able to equip, some of which are available for customization. The trailer explains how there are three weapon slots—primary, specialty, and heavy—and how each serves a different purpose during combat.

Also explored in the video are the game’s various modes, which include a variety of cooperative and competitive activities.

Destiny is set for release in 2014 for both current- and next-gen console platforms.

Really excited to see that all the hate surrounding “Brink”(which to me is the best FPS game I played this console cycle) has spawned this MMO. Everything in this game reminds me of Brink. The visuals, the character and weapon upgrade menus as well as the gameplay. So for everyone hating on Brink just remember this game was spawned from it.

Wishing that this comes out on P.C. really like what I see. That reminds me. Whats the point in customizing your armor if you can’t see yourself in it? Will there be a 3rd person perspective option?
