Ubisoft has finally disclosed some new details on the upcoming sequel to the popular Rainbow Six Vegas. The excellent co-op mode from the past game has been expanded so that another player can jump in at any time during a mission without affecting the story. Each single-player map also has multiple entry points now, so you and a friend can choose your own route. The online multiplayer has also been upgraded with 13 new maps, some new modes, and a matchmaking system for finding online games. Also, the customized character you create can be used in both single player and multiplayer. The enemy AI in the campaign has also been tweaked to make it more challenging. Terrorists will now have access to night and thermal vision as well as shields, making them much harder to take down. And of course there will be all new levels and missions for you to play through.
Already sounds like this is going to be yet another stellar Tom Clancy-related title. Nice to see they designed the game with co-op in mind the whole time, since the last game had probably the best co-op experience in recent memory. I know me and friend are already counting down the days until the March 2008 release rolls around.
