New Details on Neverwinter’s Mod Tools

New details have surfaced about the mod tools to be included in the upcoming Neverwinter MMO. Called the Foundry, this custom content creator will allow players to create and publish their own quests and story lines within the game world, and other players will have many different ways to discover and try out this content.

The Foundry editor will apparently be very easy to use, despite allowing players to create quests and maps as complex as those of the developers themselves. NPCs, objects, and monsters within public and adventure zones are all available to be incorporated into a modders quests and campaigns.

Players will have a number of ways of finding user-created content. Popular player-made missions will be advertised on the in-game landing page, and you can also find custom content at one of the many job boards that are located throughout the public zones. You might also find a Harper Agent NPCs that will be able to point you towards player authored content near them, in a similar manner to the way normal quests are given out.

By playing through player authored content, players will receive similar rewards of experience, items, and other loot as they would playing through content created by the developers.
