With FIFA ’08 drawing closer to release, EA has posted some new information regarding the upcoming title. While not all of this news is all that exciting, there are a few tidbits that are worthy of note:
FIFA ’08 will feature a roster made up from over 30 different leagues. A remarkable step forward for the series, which only boasted 6 leagues in 2007.
There are 12 elements that are now considered with every shot. Such as, which foot you shoot from, if there’s a defender around, if the shooter is coming out of a spin, and many other factors will decide the quality of the shot.
The “Be a Pro Mode”, has you select a player and play only as that player. EA’s is hoping for 11 on 11 online play, but is unsure if that feature will make it into release. This mode even takes a few cues from Gears of War, as the camera starts to bounce as you start sprinting at full speed.
