New 'Lost Planet: Extreme Condition' (PS3) Trailer

If you somehow missed Lost Planet on the Xbox 360 or PC, you now have a chance to play it on the PS3. From what I’ve heard, the game plays more smoothly on the PS3 than on the Xbox 360. That probably has something to do with the required 5GB install. There’s really no major differences between the games other than the fact that you will have more playable characters and smoother loading times. Enjoy the video.

“There‚Äôs really no major differences between the games other than the fact that you will have more playable characters and smoother loading times.”

And all of the down loadable content included on the disk.

So apart from those 3 major differences there are no major differences

I wouldn’t really call it major. It’s basically the same game with a couple extras. It’s great for anyone who doesn’t already have the game honestly.

What is a major difference then? Please explain. In terms of differences between versions of the same game (which is what we are talking about) what qualify as major ones and what are slight ones? The fact that you specify the differences arent ‘major’ means you obviously have your own grading system so what defines slight and what is major?

The entire game running more smoothly is obviously a major difference. Its the kind of thing you would notice if you went from the PS3 version to the 360 version the same as in Oblivion. Having all of the DLC from the 360 version included as standard is also a major difference. Apparantly half of all console owners never plug it into the net so there will obviously be a big difference between a version of the game on a 360 without internet access and a PS3 in the same situation. Once again that is a major difference. Having the 3 bonus characters from the PC version (MegaMan, Joe & Frank West) that 360 owners never had is also obviously a major difference.

Oh man, I just noticed something about this video. The guy that is demonstrating it actually has some skill… lol. Most of the time when someone demos the game for you it’s like they have no thumbs or something.

Just thought I’d point that out.

@Jose: you are definitely right about that.

@Norbit: I dunno.. I just honestly wouldn’t consider those major changes to a game that came out a long time ago. In my opinion, they are changes but not major in my mind. Obviously, the PS3 version will be the best out there and a great option for people who don’t already have the game on another platform.
