New PAIN Screens and Trailer: Pain is Comedy

The great Mel Brooks once said, “Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you walk into an open sewer and die.” The same comedic theory seems to have been applied to the upcoming Playstation Network downloadable game, PAIN. The game will have you launching a person (literally) through a series of environments via a giant slingshot-like device. The object is to complete a series of goals, most of which involve your human shot put triggering a series of comedic events, like a Jackass stunt gone horribly awry. Think of it as a giant Rube Goldberg device, but with buildings and monkeys. And a monkey always gets my stamp of approval.
