New Portal 2 DLC Requires PC, $140 Controller

Remember when we told about the new Razer Hydra PC motion controller? It was supposed to be getting some exclusive Portal 2 levels, remember? Well, they’re here.

You can now buy the Hydra straight from Steam, and the $140 controller includes a copy of Portal 2 and the Sixense MotionPack DLC, which includes 10 custom single-player maps. These maps are designed specifically for use with the new controller, implementing features unique to that hardware. The big one is object resizing and scaling, as you can see in the trailer below.

I’m not sure that I’m willing to drop $140 to play 10 levels of Portal 2, but have to admit that these levels look pretty awesome.

Pretty cool. I’m with you on the price thing though. It will have to support a lot more game to drop that kinda cash on a controller.
