New Watch Dogs Demo Was Running on PC, Not PS4 (VID)

The Watch Dogs demo shown at the PlayStation 4 reveal wasn’t running on a PS4 at all — it was running on a PC.

A tweet by GameTrailers revealed that the demo was running on a PC with specs “close to the PS4.” While we don’t know the exact specs of the PC, SCEI has confirmed that the PS4 has an eight-core AMD “Jaguar” CPU, a “next generation” Radeon GPU with 1.84 Teraflops of computing power, and 8GB of GDDR5 RAM.

In case you haven’t seen the video, here it is:

Loving those water effects; not crazy about the intense lens flare from the sun. The chase scene was intense and reminiscent of Sleeping Dogs — every game should have a parkour element.

Of course it was running on a PC, the original XBox 360 demos were all run on Apple Powermac G5′s, sounds crazy? Look it up! They had simular architecture and Microsoft hadn’t finished their prototype machines for one reason or another :P
