Next Skyrim Update Brings Mounted Combat, On Steam Today
It’s infuriating, isn’t it? You’re ahorse and a dragon dips from the clouds above to start setting fire to a random village. You’d love to start cutting its face apart, but you’re on a horse — and that means you have to get off in order to fight the dragon. Hopefully it doesn’t roast you while you’re carefully climbing down from your not-so-mighty steed.
Well, not anymore, buddy! Bethesda announced today that the next patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Patch 1.6, will include mounted combat. Meaning you’ll be able to slice off some heads as you ride down your enemies like Christopher Walken in that one Tim Burton movie.
Even cooler, if you’re a PC user, you can sign up for the Steam beta and get the mounted combat update RIGHT NOW. If you’re playing on console, well…you’ll be waiting an undisclosed amount of time.
Also coming in Patch 1.6 are a number of bug fixes. The full rundown (which I don’t feel like recopying here because screw that) is available on the Bethblog.
