NFS: The Run PC Patch Unlocks 30 FPS Lock

Great news for PC racers: Need for Speed: The Run‘s 30 FPS lock — aka the console lock — has been removed with the game‘s most recent patch. While the PC version should have never shipped with an FPS lock to begin with, Black Box has extended us a peace offering by including in the patch the Signature Edition Booster Pack cars for free to all PC gamers.

Classy move. Black Box, you are forgiven. I renounce the gypsy curse.

The question then is, will Need for Speed 13‘s PC version also ship with an FPS lock, or has EA learned from its mistake?
