Nintendo Announces Zelda Symphony Concert Series

When I was a kid, my mom took me to a “Music of John Williams” symphony concert. That was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my childhood, and so I wish I liked Zelda more and could get really excited about this announcement. That said, this is still hella cool, even to me.

While Nintendo may not be putting out any sort of Legend of Zelda compilation of games for the series’ 25th anniversary, they are doing a symphony concert tour in 2012 featuring musical selections from throughout the franchise.

The series will kick off on October 21 at the Pantages Theater in LA, but the rest of it will happen in 2012. Tour dates are, obviously, TBA at this point. Needless to say, this will be something you can’t miss if it comes anywhere near you.

SO, basically, the actual thing will be happening on the 26th anniversary?
