Nintendo Drops DSi and DSi XL Prices September 12

Still don’t own a DSi or DSi XL? Well Nintendo want’s to encourage you to buy a new handheld by making the price point even sweeter on it’s premiere mobile systems.

Starting September 12, 2010 the retail price for both DSi units will drop to $149 for the DSi and $169 for the DSi XL. The DS Lite will remain priced at $129 though.

Don’t remember the difference?

The DS Lite has GBA compatibility and no camera, the DSi has a camera and is internet and SD-card enables, and the DSi XL is a DSi for the visually impaired because it has larger screens.

Both DSi handhelds come with software preloaded and access to the DSiWare download features that the DS Lite lacks.

This sounds like the biggest and longest trying to keep one system alive since SEGA and their stupid add ons to the original SEGA genesis system. Nintendo just needs to stop making crappy remakes of their old crappy games that did good when NES and SNES was around, now its just too damn old, might as well get on board with squarenix and make another final fantasy game. what ds lacks is good games, if you bought a wii or ds you just wasted your money for something that little kids and adults that have never played on pc or any other console OR just love nintendo cause they love nintendo. One could say they are getting biggest gaming sales, well of course they are when they sucker people into buying their bad games, plus I only see one game worth playing from nintendo and that’s F-ZERO. Everything else works better on PC, PS3, and 360.
In other words Nintendo just needs to die!!
oh ya and get a PSP Go so much better than keeping track of cartridge based BS and NO UMDs either
