Nintendo recently threw a launch party celebrating the imminent release of Major League Eating: The Game. For all of you gamers who are sick to death of hearing about Wii Fit, here’s a game that celebrates behavior on the opposite end of the spectrum. Revelers celebrated the ancient Roman orgy at the Nintendo World store in Rockefeller Center.
Surrounded by pictures of svelte athletic types contorted in yoga poses on Wii Boards, guests gorged on hotdogs and hamburgers while hobnobbing with some real Major League eaters. Two of these athletes featured as avatars in the game, Tim “Eater X” Janus and Crazy Legs Conti competed in a watermelon eating contest.
Here’s some footage of party goers play testing the game. You might want to skip the video… and the game if you have a weak stomach.
Major League Eating: The Game will be available on the WiiWare channel early next month.
