It looks like Nintendo and weddings are connected by more than just cake. According to Amazon.com, the item most registered for weddings isn’t a microwave or even a set of bakeware, but a Nintendo Wii. The site has a list up of the Top 100 Most Registered Items for Weddings, which includes the typical blenders, kitchenware, and baking sets; but the Wii still trumped them all to take the top spot. The Wii-mote, Nunchuck, and Wii-mote Charger also make appearances on the list, as does the Xbox 360.
I just want to see a commercial for a Wii now that’s modeled after a diamond ad. You know, with silhouettes and violin music, and then a Wii-mote being placed in the lady’s hand. “A Wii is forever…until the next system comes out.”
