No Destiny PC Port Planned, Would Spread Bungie Too Thin

It seems Destiny for PC is becoming increasingly unlikely. The possibility of a PC release still remained when Destiny senior writer and Bungie community manager Eric Osborne said “We haven’t said yes, and we haven’t said no” back in May. However, new comments from Osborne have ruled out any happenings on this front for the foreseeable future.

Speaking to IGN, Osborne said:

“We know there are a lot of people out there asking for PC and we know that there are a lot of gamers that would willingly give us money, but what we have to do is make sure we’re focused enough to bring a good experience to any platform that we ship on.

“What we 100 percent are not going to do is spread ourselves so thin that it negatively harms the other platforms. So right now we have the four platforms [Xbox One, X-box 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4], which is a lot to focus on.”

While Osborne still hasn’t responded with a firm “no” to the possibility of a PC port, it sounds like he’s letting us down easy.

Sorry to crush your hopes and dreams.

No biggie. Didn’t want this game anyway. Don’t like games with shallow stories or shallow dev’s. Fact is this is just an excuse. They don’t make pc games. Not really. No heartbreak here. They don’t make the kind of games I like anyway. So I wish the console gamers well and enjoy to your hearts content.

What’s Destiny? Oh. Right. That’s ok. We don’t need Neo-Halo on PC, anyway. Weren’t these the guys that said that they weren’t going to because no one uses a mouse and keyboard anymore? After this next generation of consoles, I doubt anyone will be using a console anymore*.

*They’re already too much like PCs anyway. They’ve lost much of what made them unique.
