SNK Playmore has just announced that starting August 31st, the company will no longer be providing maintenance support for its Neo-Geo systems, its cartridges, or its accessories. That includes the Neo-geo CD, Neo-geo CDZ, and the Neo-geo Pocket. Even though SNK stopped production of its Neo-Geo systems almost 10 years ago, it has continued to provide maintenance and technical support for them. Now however, it seems finding spare parts for repairs has gotten too difficult for them to continue offering the service. If you need a system repaired, you’d better get it sent into them soon.
