No PSP3D, and Rumble is the Key to the Move

Industry Gamers had a chat with SCE Worldwide Studios vice president Scott Rohde at E3, and they talked about Sony stuff, of course. Two things from the interview amused me.

First, with the 3DS being the talk of the show, IG asked if a 3D PSP was something they considered. Obviously, since they didn’t announce one at E3, the guy wasn’t going to say yes to that question, but here’s the quote anyway: “No, no plans for that…We just chose to focus on the big 3D in the home.” OK, then. Note that this quote means absolutely nothing and should not be taken as proof that Sony is not working on a 3D PSP. The second bit after the jump.

moveAlright, moving on. They asked him how he thought the Move stacks up against the other motion controls, and he made this really cute comment: “And I think there’s a lot of areas where we differentiate ourselves from what the competition does. Again, having that tactile feeling in your hand, with the rumble support… If you strike an enemy and you feel it rumble, I think that’s a really key aspect of what we offer compared to what other folks offer.”

Er, Scott, the Wii remote has rumble, and it’s a thing you hold in your hand. Just FYI.
