Notch Distributed The Millions He Earned In 2011 Among His Employees

What would you do if you suddenly found yourself 3 million dollars richer? Would you buy a house? Live on a boat? Get a diamond grill and a tattoo that says “nerd life” across your torso? All good ideas, but what if, instead, you decided to be the most awesome person ever, and give the money to your employees?

That’s what Mojang’s Notch did. Thanks to the astonishing success of Minecraft, he pocketed around 3 million dollars in dividends from Mojang. At which point, he decided to reinvest it in the company, by which we mean, give his employees an incredible year end bonus:
