Notch Releases First 0×10^c Multiplayer Footage

It looks like work on Notch’s first post-Minecraft game, the science fiction-parody (think Hitchhiker’s Guide) 0×10^c, is progressing handily. Earlier this month, he dropped the first test footage from the game, and now he’s back with the first look at how multiplayer might pan out. It’s reeeeeeally rough of course. As the posting says, “The bot character is a placeholder model, and the flickering is a bug. Most of everything is missing, but it’s a start! Also, there’s sound!” But even with that caveat, it’s kind of cool to see this coming along fairly quickly. Here’s hoping the actual game ends up being good.

Enjoy the footage.
