Nvidia Talks Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag PC Bells, Whistles

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is on consoles today (Game Front review coming soon), but PC gamers will have to wait to pirate the Caribbean until November 22. Ubisoft says the extra month is for polish and PC enhancements, and for now, we’ll pretend we don’t know it’s really an anti-piracy measure and explore what those bells and whistles will be.

Nvidia has been working with Ubi on Black Flag since the get go, and as the GPU maker details in the new video below, the result is a better looking game on PC, complete with something called ‘Optimized Godrays.’ Sounds potent. Take a look:

Nice bit of eye candy. Surprising, though, that Nvidia didn’t pull out all the stops and throw in PhysX effects. Could be they’re just not ready to talk about it/show it off yet, but you would think that would be the focus of any exclusive Nvidia partnership.

Also, I’d like to jump the gun and submit my title for the inevitable sequel to Black Flag: Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag 2 — Always Bet on Black.

And if you want a leg up in this Jolly Roger adventure, be sure to check out Game Front’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Walkthrough.
