NWN 2: Mysteries of Westgate – Ossian Studios Interview Part Two

Atari has reopened the way for talented developers to make premium mods for Neverwinter Nights 2. Yesterday we featured part one of an interview with Alan Miranda, CEO of Ossian Studios, Producer and Co-Lead Designer on Mysteries of Westgate (MoW) on GameBanshee. Today, Miranda is joined by Luke Scull Lead Designer on MoW and Atari’s Senior Producer Larry Liberty as they tell WarCry about Ossian and their latest premium mod for NwN2.

Like Ossian’s NwN1 premium mod, Darkness over Daggerford, the Mysteries of Westgate adventure pack will feature many intriguing side quests to provide 7+ hours of non-linear play experience for those not wanting to just plow through the main quest. Those who prefer to concentrate solely on the main story should get a good 8 hours of game play from it.

All the new custom content used in MoW will be made available to the NwN modding community which is one of the keys to the Adventure Pack program. This includes new music composed by David John (the NWN1 premium mod composer). Over 12,000 words of voice acting and new SFX through Giant Sandbox Productions have been recorded as well.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Mysteries of Westgate is downloadable content only. The adventure pack will be out as soon as the end of November and available for download on Atari.com and the NWN 2 site.
