Oblivion PSP Coming After All?

Back in November, Jonathan crushed our hopes of a PSP version of Oblivion when he reported that the game was canceled indefinitely, and that all deposits placed on the game were being refunded. Now, thanks to the folks over at Amazon, hope is alive once more.
The listing on Amazon states: “Oblivion comes to the PSP with all your favorite free-form gameplay, unprecedented graphics, cutting edge AI, character voices by acting legends Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean, Terrance Stamp, and Lynda Carter along with its award-winning soundtrack. Gamers can choose to unravel Oblivion’s epic narrative at their own pace or explore the vast world in search of their own unique challenges. After the mysterious and untimely death of the Emperor, the throne of Tamriel lies empty. With the Empire ready to crumble, the gates of Oblivion open and demons march upon the land laying waste to everything in their path. To turn the tide of darkness, you must find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.”
The game is up for pre-order and the price listed is $39.99 on Amazon, with other stores selling it for $10 more. The release date stated underneath the pricing says that it will be available on June 30th. Bethesda has yet to send us a press release or any other sort of information for Oblivion PSP, so hang tight until that occurs – in the meantime, be thankful that it is indeed coming soon enough – unless of course Amazon is just toying with us, in which case I hope a group of Spiggans gang up and make them pay.

My guess is that it’s a clerical error, but I really hope they’re right. I’d love for the game to finally be released.

Gamerush, I believe the PSP version was slated to be more focused upon combat and dungeons and less free roaming through a massive environment. Still, that sounds plenty good to me.

Sounds alot like PC/360/PS3 version to me. Remember that UMDs are 2gig disks. Free roam aswell as mechanics would be impossible. Unless it will be the first multi UMD game on the market so far

It looks too wide to be an actual PSP cover. Looks like someone took the current oblivion cover and put a psp logo on it. Not to mention the actual title is elder scroll travels and i don’t see that anywhere on this “psp cover”.
Definitely either a temp cover, or a lame attempt to sucker some fools in.
