Like any good indie, Octodad: Dadliest Catch is filled to the brim with references to its independent brothers and sisters. Just one level gives Guacamelee’s Easter egg bonanza a run for its money. Minecraft, Pacman cheese wheels, and entire Dev teams all make a welcome appearance. Check out the video above to see all the refs for yourself.

Easter Eggs & References
Minecraft’s signature pickaxes appear in the Grocery Store in a display for “Mintcraft” — “Build a World of Flavor”
The boxes resemble Minecraft’s dirt blocks with grass, and you’ll find a Creeper head in the center. Explosive trigger warning.
Stanley’s Two Bowls
The Stanley Parable’s narrative bifurcation (and sharp blue suit w/ red tie ensemble) make an appearance on a poster.

QWOP, the insanely awkward game that’s impossible to control is pictured to the right with a sly reference.
VGCW and its rendition of Octodad also appear. The online WWE ’14 stream pits custom wrestlers against it other.
Further left is a starship designed after Retro/Grade.
Just to add to the list, the large floor keyboard has to be a reference to BIG’s famous scene in which Tom Hanks’ child-in-an-adult’s-body plays chopsticks. Kind of a stretch, but let’s go with it.
