Nintendo has always brought us some of the greatest peripherals. Today, we’re going to talk about the NES Power Glove. This was the first known gaming peripheral to re-create human hand movement on a television screen. Although the glove fell short of expectations, it sold nearly 100,000 units in the United States alone. Only two games were ever released for the NES that were designed specifically for the NES.
As many peripherals, I feel that the NES Power Glove was simply ahead of it’s time. We’d love to see a new Power Glove come out for the Nintendo Wii. A modernized version of Super Glove Ball could be exactly what gamers need right now.
