Our GTA Online Live Stream Delayed, Just Like Everyone Else

If an online game launches on a day ending in “y”, then it’s not a shocker there will be significant problems making play of the new game impossible. And that is precisely the case with today’s launch of Grand Theft Auto Online.

As any of you who’ve tried to login no doubt already know, GTA Online has been plagued by problems all morning long. Server connection issues, corrupted saves, freezing, in-game interactivity problems and more have brought the new service to a virtual standstill. I guess the Government isn’t the only thing shutting down, amirite? Ahem.

Anyway, it’s only likely to get worse before it gets better, thanks to the gradual roll-out as new time zones gain access. But Rockstar is on the case and presumably, we should see it become more stable soon. What this means for you is that our planned livestream of GTA Online is being pushed back while we wait for reliable access. Until then, keep your eyes on Game Front as we deal, along with the rest of you, with these issues. And keep banging.

I didn’t even bother to attempt to log on today for this very reason. When Rockstar already said to expect problems before today, I took it as a sign that it wasn’t worth trying until this gets sorted out.
