Over $1.2 Million Raised for Wasteland 2 (so far)

With 30 days left to go before the Kickstarter drive ends, developer inXile has already surpassed its goal of raising $900,000 for a sequel to the 24-year-old game Wasteland. As of this writing — and increasing by the hour — inXile has raised $1,282,659, which, according to inXile founder and Wasteland designer Brian Fargo, is more than enough to do the game justice.
Fargo tweeted:
I know there was concern with the amount we requested but we could not have done WL2 justice with just 300-400k.

The designer has also said that if funding hits $1.5 million, Linux and Mac versions will be produced in addition to the core PC release. Looks like that won’t be a problem, Brian. Congrats.
Are you old enough to even know about 1988′s Wasteland?
