Pac-Man Halloween Pig-out

Just in time for the haunted holidays comes this delightful image, of Pac-Man about to tuck into a whole graveyard’s-worth of ghosts, all running scared. The “funny photoshops of military cemetaries” genre isn’t exactly chock full, but this one certainly merits a seal of approval. Interesting that its creator chose to go with ghosts, as opposed to pac-dots, which always appear in the kind of rectilinear patterns that typify this kind of graveyard.

Scientifically proven to be gaming’s most recognizable icon, Pac-Man is always showing up where he’s least expected: as a Roomba, for example, or as a Starcraft II Mod (2nd from top). The franchise has been around so long that the ghosts have even been given an opportunity to take revenge. One certainly wonders why the graveyard ghosts in the image don’t take advantage of their superior numbers. Maybe morale is low — they’ve been turned blue and eaten about a billion times since 1980, after all.
