Pandora is a Tricky Little Bird – New Screens From Legendary: The Box

 Back in July, I posted some screens and a teaser trailer for Legendary: The Box, which tells the story of Charles Deckard, an art thief who is duped into stealing Pandora’s Box. When he opens the box, he releases hordes of beasts thought to be fictional – such as werewolves and gryphons – into an unprepared modern world. A full scale war between man and myth begins, and it is quickly complicated by the actions of powerful secret societies. As the person responsible for releasing this terror, Deckard’s unwittingly become the only person capable of containing it once more and saving civilization from being destroyed by the terrifying creatures of the box.

Game Features:

• A war of mythic proportions -Lead awe-inspiring fire-fights where high-caliber ordnance meets beak, talon, claw and fang. Dynamic environments crumble around you as you and your enemies tear an interactive, living, breathing environment apart in your battle to stay alive.
• Global combat in stunning locations – Devastation is realized on an unprecedented scale. See internationally recognized structures and monuments to mankind fall before the primal onslaught of titans. Every feature, every location is realized in breath-taking high-definition.
• Think fast or die combat – Man is no-longer top of the food chain and you are the hunted. Witness stunning artificial intelligence in action as packs of werewolves attempt to outflank you and giant gryphons tear through buildings to drag you screaming into their world.

There will be multiplayer available in the FPS as well as a single-player, but details on this aspect as sketchy at best. Spark Unlimited are keeping quite on certain aspects of the game until the release date looms a bit closer, so until then just check back often for information on Legendary: The Box. Gamecock Media states that the game will be available for PC and next-gen consoles in spring 2008.
