Paradox Takes Us Back to the War of the Roses

Paradox and Fatshark today reveal the game that had previously been known only as Project Postman — it’s a team-based PC action game set in 15 century England called War of the Roses. Containing both a “deep” single-player campaign and multiplayer action, War of the Roses tentatively sounds awesome.

“War of the Roses will give players face-to-face melee combat they rarely see in today’s third-person and first-person online shooters,” said Gordon Van Dyke, Senior Producer for Paradox Interactive. “We’re looking to steep players in that savagery, and challenge them to confront their opponents head-on in this unique multiplayer game.”

Yep, still tentatively sounding awesome. I can say, at the very least, that this sounds like the type of game I would like to play, so they’ve off on the right foot, at least. What’s that? We have a trailer? OK.

Look for this one some time next year.

I’ll admit it, I’m a fanboy and I buy everything Paradox puts out.
