Patch Fixes Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate ‘DLC Not Authorized’ Bug

Dragon Age: Origins‘ Ultimate Edition for PC is on sale on Amazon.com today for a mere $15, and that package includes all the DLC that has been released for the game. It sounds like a pretty sweet deal, but buyers who aren’t wary might find themselves in an annoying bind upon downloading the game.

That’s because the digital version of the Ultimate Edition has a pretty major bug that can cause you to have a bad time. That bug can cause the DLC in the package to fail to authorize correctly — meaning you’ll pay for the game and DLC but you won’t be able to play that DLC. BioWare eventually released a patch for DAO to fix it, but it can be tough to track down.

Patch 1.05 can be found right here. Download it and you should be in business. You’ll need to get it manually, however, because for some reason, Electronic Arts’ Origin online platform fails to download and install the patch automatically.
