Patch Leaks Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer DLC Details
Yet again, the details of an upcoming Mass Effect 3 DLC drop seem to have been leaked by way of a patch long before the DLC is actually released.
This time, however, BioWare has gone to great lengths to limit the details leaked about the single-player story elements of the DLC, which have been data mined by players hunting for information in the past. Script details for Leviathan and Omega, for example, were available long before the DLCs were actually dropped.
However, the leak, which comes from Clevernoob forum and reliable leak-creator TSA_383, has a significant amount of multiplayer information. It suggests a new cooperative multiplayer mode called “Reckoning” that takes into account a significant amount of information from single-player playthroughs, like renegade and paragon ratings.
The mode supposedly includes six new co-op story missions, as well as other unspecified gameplay modes. It also has four new multiplayer maps, plus “hazard” versions of the existing Earth-based maps.
We’re still waiting to find out what story elements are being added to the game in this DLC, however, although we do know that the entire Mass Effect 3 writing staff took part in work on the DLC. Producers Casey Hudson and Mike Gamble also recently teased it a bit with a couple of vague images.
