Path of Exile ‘Forsaken Masters’ Patch Coming Aug. 20

Grinding Gear Games has revealed a new content patch for Path of Exile that will add new quests, more item crafting option, customizable towns and more.

The patch, which the studio has dubbed, Forsaken Masters, will add new quest lines based on the seven titular masters who will each offer unique quests and training options to further diversify the players ability to customize and explore their character. The Masters content will likewise add “secret and customizable towns known as Hideouts” which players can explore and use as “personalized Guild Halls.”

Players will also be able to take advantage of new crafting and modification options rooted in the masters who will grant access to these skills as a character gains more reputation with them. The masters will also unique and magic items which, at higher levels, can be used for “build-defining modification.” All in all, the Masters content will add 16 new unique, several of which will be exclusive to the (also) new Rampage and Beyond challenge leagues.

Grinding Gear has also confirmed that the patch will leave several existing boss encounters significantly “revamped.” Portions of the Passive Skill Tree will also be redesigned for several classes and new lore and story content are being added across the game. The patch is currently set to release on August 20th and the full rundown of its included content can be found at the official Path of Exile website.
