PAX East: Cooler Master and the New Keyboard Duo

Amongst a sea of CM Storm HAF and Scout cases, Cooler Master has two new keyboards at PAX that will hit store shelves later this year, designed specially for gaming.

The Quick Fire XT is the standard size version of the original Quick Fire, so you get every single one of those invaluable 108 keys this time around. Like the rest of the Cooler Master lineup, The XT has a detachable USB cable, Cherry MX switches (available in red, green, brown, black, and blue), and a surprisingly thin profile for a mechanical variant. In fact, Cooler Master claims the XT is the thinnest MX Cherry-based mechanical keyboard around. While this upcoming XT has no backlighting, an LED version will launch in June.

There’s also a new Quick Fire Stealth, which is a new aesthetic twist on the old Quick Fire Rapid. It retains the small frame — so no numpad — while adding a new key style. All the font is etched on the front side of the key, giving the top-down view of the Stealth a “murdered out” look of sorts.

The Quick Fire XT and the Stealth will both be available in Q2, with the XT pricing out between $100-$120, and the Stealth going for $89.99.
