Epic Working on PC-Exclusive Game

Speaking at a PAX East panel today, Epic Games creative lead Cliff Bleszinski and president Mike Capps revealed that they are working on a PC-exclusive title.

Capps said, “We might be working on a PC-only title,” to which Bleszinski followed up with, “Let me say that again: we are working on a PC game.”

After the panel, Capps told Joystiq that the unannounced PC project is currently underway, and that the plans are to keep the game exclusive to the PC platform.

Could this have anything to do with the Unreal Tournament Facebook page that Epic recently put up?

While previous word from Epic and Bleszinski suggested that no new UT titles are currently in the works, could this be a re-release of UT99 in a free-to-play, perhaps even browser-based format, akin to Quake Live?

If it’s a UT99 similar to Quake Live, i’ll be all over it. I mean, the gameplay is SO GOOD that one can easily overlook the dated graphics.

If it’s a new Unreal Tournament, I pray to whatever deities could help make it as good/better than 99 or 2004
