SWTOR’s Ohlen: Achievements ‘On the Way’

We don’t know just when, but Star Wars: The Old Republic will be getting its own Achievement system.

That’s according to SWTOR Game Director James Ohlen, who sat down for an interview with Game Front’s Ben Richardson at PAX East 2012 this weekend. Ohlen said that Achievements would be added to the game “definitely this year,” although he said he couldn’t say exactly when the feature would make its way into BioWare’s Star Wars-based MMO.

“Achievements is a feature we want to get into the game,” Ohlen said. “We’re working on it right now. I can’t say when it’s going to come – not in update 2 or 3, but very soon, definitely this year. We want to make sure that whatever system we come up with, that it has a Star Wars flavor, that it fits the game, and that it fits in with all the other game systems.”

We’ll keep an ear out for more information on when BioWare will be pushing an update to add Achievements to SWTOR.

Game Front is on-site at PAX East all weekend (April 6-8), bringing you daily news, hands-on previews, interviews and pictures. Stay tuned for more PC gaming-focused coverage!
