PAX East: Neverwinter Screenshots Have Infinite Charisma, Hitpoints

At PAX East, Perfect World Entertainment showed off some aspects of their upcoming D&D MMORPG, Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter, which launches near the end of 2012. An important location in D&D’s Forgotten Realms storyline, the Neverwinter city state is as old school as you can get in video game RPGS; it was the setting for Stormfront Studios’ Neverwinter Nights, the first graphical MMORPG launched, if you can believe it, back in 1991, and some of the later versions of that game still look kind of cool even now. 20+ years later, we’re getting a far prettier and, hopefully, detailed and fun, look at the place. Our guys on the scene will have a more in depth look at it soon, but in the meantime we’ve gotten our hands on some screen shots. While they don’t show off much in the way of gameplay, they do give a decent idea of how the new Neverwinter is going to look. Click to see the full size images.

Game Front is on-site at PAX East all weekend (April 6-8), bringing you daily news, hands-on previews, interviews and pictures. Stay tuned for more PC gaming-focused coverage!
