PAX Prime 2011 Musical Lineup Announced

Lots of PAX Prime 2011 news to report. We already mentioned the announcement that Swearmaster General and Twisted Metal/God of War designer David Jaffe will be the keynote speaker. That’s kind of a big deal. But it’s not going to be just gaming and begging for swag – there’s going to be plenty to do at night, thanks to the rather surprising lineup of musical guests. There are returning guests, like MC Frontalot, but this year’s PAX attendees will enjoy the first-ever PAX Prime appearance by The Video Game Orchestra.

The full line up (with videos!) is:

• Jonathan Coulton

• MC Frontalot

• Metroid Metal

• Minibosses

• Paul and Storm

• Supercommuter (first PAX Prime appearance)

• The Video Game Orchestra (first PAX Prime appearance)

Not all of it strictly gaming, but it is strictly nerdcore, and we can get behind that. Naturally, GameFront was at PAX 2010, and we’ll likely be back for more this year. Keep your eyes here for more and, of course, check Pax 2011′s official Site for updates. PAX Prime is at the Seattle Convention Center on August 26 – 28. But sorry people who haven’t bought their tickets – Passes are completely sold out.
