Payday 2 Death Wish Update Introduces New Difficulty Mode

If you and your veteran, level-capped crew are pulling off heists in Payday 2 without so much as breaking a sweat, Overkill Software has an update just for you: Death Wish.

The update is out now and the big addition is the new Death Wish difficulty mode, which is available for all heists. It not only makes cops and SWAT harder to kill and faster on the trigger, it alters maps in major and minor ways to throw a wrench in tried-and-true heist plans.

Along with Death Wish mode, the update features a new set of brass knuckles for melee fun, two new enemy types (including the LMG-wielding Bulldozer pictured above), and 35 new achievements to unlock.

And this won’t be the last new Payday 2 content we see. Starbreeze Studios, owner of Overkill, recently announced that it has signed a $6 million contract with publisher 505 Games to create Payday 2 DLC for the next 20 months.
