Payday: The Heist Trailer Shows a Daring Jailbreak You Likely Won’t Survive

Payday: The Heist is that scene from the movie Heat, except it’s a video game in the four-player cooperative style of Left 4 Dead. If that sounds awesome, how about this: daring jailbreak on a bridge while besieged by police.

If that sounds awesome, then you’ll want to check out the trailer below, which, actually, doesn’t really do the awesomeness of concept (and, I hope, gameplay) justice. But it does seem like an intense situation into which bringing three friends would be a good time.

One question, however: With the bridge held by cops and the guy you’re breaking out of jail escaping by plane, uh … how do you get out of there without being arrested or summarily executed?

Guess we’ll have to play to find out. The game’s out sometime this month.
