PC Users Get Instant Beta Access to Battlefield: Hardline

The Battlefield Hardline beta has opened up to all Windows PC users. So, instead of hoping you’re selected to participate in the beta, you’re automatically invited upon completion of your application.

This is rather surprising. It’s not at all surprising that EA has opened up a beta to a specific platform with assumed favoritism but, that the PC platform was selected, is the oddity. Normally, the Xbox or PlayStation would be the preferred choice by a publisher as they usually have exclusivity deals signed with the console makers.

Now, I’m certainly not complaining. Despite my personal feelings towards EA’s practices, I have to admit that it’s very pleasant to see PC gamers thrown the proverbial bone here. Hopefully, this is the first of many future instances that this happens, and not just with EA.

You can sign up for the Battlefield: Hardline beta here.
