News out of Washington announced that the Entertainment Software Association has a new president. Mike Gallagher will take over the role sometime this month. Gallagher is no stranger to technology and commerce issues, so he will make a good edition to the group.

Mike Gallagher, a partner with Perkins Coie LLP in D.C. and chair of the law firm’s communications and government relations group, will serve as the next president of the Entertainment Software Association, a trade group representing U.S. computer and video game publishers.

Prior to joining the law firm, Gallagher served as the assistant secretary of commerce for communications and information, where he was the chief telecommunications and Internet policy adviser to the Bush administration.

“so should” = “so he should”?

That’s four errors in four straight posts…

    Dear William,

Sorry, can’t edit posts here. You can delete the comments if you want. Doesn’t bother me. I’m just a bit irritated about the errors and have no way of contacting people privately.

But anyway, I don’t think the way your sentenced is worded is wrong, just a bit confusing and clunky. It does make sense without using the “he”. But if you use the “he” your sentence will be a lot clearer. And if you use “he”, then you can take out “probably”. Using “probably” with “should” is redundant, not to mention clunky to read.

Not sure what happened to your comments. I didn’t delete them. Technically the way I wrote it is correct, but you are right that it would be better to add “he” in there.
