Peter Moore is Thrilled About The Old Republic’s Launch

I joined in on Star Wars: The Old Republic after my Christmas vacation, which meant that I missed out on all the fun of having to wait in queues to get into my server. And so, to me, SWTOR has gone super smooth so far, which is great.

Peter Moore, head man at EA, thinks it’s great, too. Here’s a thing he said to IndustryGamers:

When I think of all the MMOs I have seen launched I can’t think of one that has been launched flawlessly. There’s so much you don’t know and when you’ve got a million people coming in and playing, I’d like to be able to guarantee a completely flawless experience from a technology perspective, from an interaction perspective, but again I look at it every hour and when we look at the queue times to get on the servers, the amount of downtime that is scheduled, it’s green lights all the way. I couldn’t be more happy.

We’re glad you’re happy, Peter.

”I’d like to be able to guarantee a completely flawless experience from a technology perspective”

Either hes smoking ”stuff” or he does not play SWTOR.

Because we’v got DCs, graphical glitches and TOR frying graphics cards by overworking them for no reason.

Oh and we’v got an entire forum full of biodefenders who seem more intent on killing the game then WoW fanboys are.

So yeah… great work.

I’ve had some DCs, I’ve had no graphical glitches and TOR isn’t overclocking my video card, not everyone is having problems.

@Ltenhet

Just because YOU dont have a problem does not mean that there is no problem, have a look at the forums for example theres plenty of people there who are having problems.

i guess peter want there for lotro’s launch, one that went far more smoothly with far less glitches/bug, etc then TOR.

as for tor..loving it inspite of it lack of polish in the graphical/tech departments.
