Pick from a Bunch of Preorder Incentives for Resistance 3
Here they are: The many incentives players can choose from for preordering Resistance 3, all dependent on the retail outlet to which they choose to hand over their money. Scroll on down and check out the full list of digital, physical and slightly weird incentives that could be yours!
“You hunt Chimera, you say? Can you prove it? Because I’m pretty sure they’re fictional.” Impress women in bars by showing off this necklace of Chimera teeth, modeled after Joseph Cabrelli’s from Resistance 3 (you don’t have to tell anyone it’s from a video game).
You also get a boost in your multiplayer level from zippo to five, automatically unlocking some of the customization options other poor suckers will have to earn by getting shot in the face.
Snag Resistance 3 from here and your reward is a set of five multiplayer titles you can add to your online gamercard-type thing, making you look cooler than other people because they can never hope to unlock what you got for free.
Take your order online and you’ll actually come away with a tool you can use in the game’s campaign mode: the No. 60 Air Fuel Grenade, a handheld incendiary useful for explosively evacuating a room of all Chimera life. It’s a sticky grenade that latches onto animate as well as inanimate objects and pumps out a flammable gas, which it then ignites for spectacular results.
Multiplayer fans who love to trash-talk will enjoy Best Buy’s incentive, which comes with a Lt. Nathan Hale multiplayer skin (from the end of Resistance 2, when he’s all spooky looking) and an exclusive taunt ability that you can use to bring shame to your vanquished foes.
Everywhere else in the U.S. and Canada
Other retailers get multiplayer skins of those nameless Black Ops troops that circulate around in Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2. You know, the guys who do most of the fighting and dying throughout humanity’s campaign against the Chimera — a nice, if slightly generic, multiplayer incentive.
