Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End Trailer – Yar!

Dude, you really need a breath mint

Disney Interactive released the new trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. The game will be released on May 22 for the PSP, PS2, PS3, DS, Wii and Xbox 360. Once again Johnny Depp provides his voice for the game, like the previous – The Legend of Jack Sparrow. I never played that game, I played the first one though. Bethesda did a good job with it, even though it has some major lock-up issues – especially in map mode. This looks like it might be a pretty decent game, but I am just going by the trailer – and being a fan of the movies does not mean you will be a fan of the game. Sounds like a rental to me.

The game follows the events of all three of the movies, but also contains events and locations that were not in the previous installments. Here are some more features of the game:

  • Most versions of the game will be played from a third person perspective.
  • Wii version will utilize the motion sensing capabilities of the Remote, and feature scripted sequences called “Jackanisms”.
  • DS version has a lock picking and dueling minigames.
  • PS3 version supports the SIXAXIS controller, controlling balance during the game. (Sounds like a plank walk to me!)
  • Minigames abound with multiplayer sword dueling, card games like: Hearts, Poker and Liar’s dice.

The game is being published by Buena Vista Games, and was developed by
Eurocom Entertainment Software
.
