Planetside 2 Beta Pushed Back a Few Days for ‘Polishing’

Sony Online Entertainment has been dishing out beta codes like mad through social media, but as it turns out, even if you have a code you’ll be waiting a bit longer to try out Planetside 2.

SOE President John Smedley confirmed in a few Twitter updates that the beta for Planetside 2 has been pushed back to allow for further “polishing” of the game — but the delay isn’t a horrible one. According to Smedley, the plan now is to launch the beta by “Friday or Monday,” rather than, more or less, today.

“Had planned for today or tomorrow, but we have some stuff we need to make sure is awesome,” Smedley wrote. “The team is working like crazy but we need to polish some stuff and test it before we let in a massive number of people.”

On the plus side, that might mean more time to snag a beta key by following the Planetside 2 Twitter account and checking around the game’s official Facebook page.
